I used to play it when I was in school too. By that time it was one of my favorite games. It's quite educational, and I actually liked the puzzles.

Yesss! I was trying to remember this game for the longest time and could never fully describe it to people. I finally remembered enough details like \"island, carnival, doll, old school puzzle game\" to Google and found your site. Thanks for writing about it!

Finally I too was able to finish that childhood chapter after countless attempts to get off that damn island. Feeling confident that my 4 years through college had me better prepared, I picked D. Feecult right away and killed all the puzzles, all except one... The potion gave me a great deal of trouble. I thought I was unable to decipher the recipe and felt ashamed because I could not figure out what the hell a \"blob of former light\" was. After many attempts, and fruitless searching online for the solution and almost giving up once again that stupid game… I came across a screen shot containing a melted candle I had not yet acquired. Apparently I cheated a little and navigated the maze without using the candle. I’m sorry Dr. Q but, Karell++ taught me how to navigate a maze blindly long ago.

Well now that’s that, I can continue on with my life and die happily. Thanks again!

Haha, That's pretty funny. I think that I would have a lot of fun with this. For some reason I have a surprising amount of patience for games like this.

I've been trying to recall the name of this game for a long time now, and thanks to your website (and remembering 'troggle', which I googled), I've now found it! I never completed it when I was young, either. I really enjoyed your article, and I'm looking forward to downloading this game and giving it another shot!

There's another dos series I'm trying to recall the name of, as well...I used to have it on floppy disc. Something about a professor, maybe? You walked through different areas, examining objects, trying not to get killed. I recall one part where you exited a kitchen via the dumbwaiter, walked through a garden, avoiding the bees and ended up on a street by a phonebox. This is vague and I'm rambling, but if there's any chance that rings a bell, I'd love to hear from you!

Anyway, I'll be visiting again in the hopes you write more soon. :)
